The United States Constitution: Students will defining the parts of the constitution, including the preamble and the main amendments.
The Bill of Rights: Students will be able to analyze different court cases and how the bill of rights has helped define American society.
The Young Republic: Students will be evaluating the difficulties of starting a new nation with complete independence.
The American Civil War: Students will determine the events that led up to the American Civil War and will analyze different battles and their influence on the tide of the war.
Reconstruction and the New South: Students will identify the ways that America has changed as a result of the Civil War.
The Western Crossroads: Students will describe ways that Americans developed the West.
The Second Industrial Revolution: Students will identify the use of inventions and how they transformed American society.
